This book was not my typical type of romance but you know what? I REALLY LIKED IT. I was ready to read a thriller and that is exactly what I got, and so much more. There was also a paranormal twist that kept the book very interesting, along with a love triangle and a very creepy villain. As you can see from my star rating that there were no actual love scenes in this book, but yet it was extremely sensual. The romance between the H & h was what made this book for me. You could really feel the love Slaton had for Brenna. The things he said to her and what he did for her were sigh-worthy. The story line was really well done, add in the paranormal elements and that made this book a winner!!
The only thing I can complain about was the ending. I knew something was up at 99% into the book when the villain was still on the loose. In the end, I found out why, the story does not end, and now I'm waiting on book 2!! I hate waiting and I want it NOW!
